Hey there.
You do understand that the primary reason some folks come here has nothing to do with WLS or support, right?
For instance, when I "found" BAF I was already one year post-op. If I needed or wanted surgery support, I'd go to the Lap-Band forum. That remains true today. Don't get me wrong, I've learned a lot from this forum and there are a lot more bandsters here today than there were four years ago. BAF just means something different to me.
As for my profile, I haven't updated it in two years. It's still public, and I've gotten several messages from people that say it's helped them in some way or another. Although there are times when I consider making it private, I allow it to remain public for the very reasons you mention. If and when I update it, I want it to be relevant.
All that to say, stay encouraged. You get out of it what you put into it. You are doing great things!

Hey Lisa.
Where you at? BAF is omnipotent and omnipresent!! Somebody can come meet you.
Now, my question is this . . . somebody made you join this site? Say it ain't so.

Isa,
Great post. I myself just do a lot of lurking...My lap-band journey whoops my butt daily. I often come just to read what other lap-banders have to say about their journeys with the hopes that it will help me with my journey. When I can be supportive I try to send a post, tell someone they really look great, or they are working their tool. I still consider myself new to WLS. I still have 60 more pounds to lose, so I feel like I am still learning... But when I can, I try to offer my share of kinds words...
Again Great Post,
Michelle
